Peer Support

For John Turlais, being involved with Foley's summer program influenced his decision to join the firm
Foley’s summer program provided exactly the type of experience that I had hoped for as a summer associate. The electronic project book allowed me to select interesting and challenging assignments from various legal departments and gave me the opportunity to work with a wide range of attorneys and clients.
And, between FoleyFest, group outings, the softball team, and other planned (and unplanned) events, there certainly was no shortage of opportunities for me to get to know better the other summer associates, the attorneys, and the city.

Sometimes the best source of help is a colleague who is sharing your experiences. That’s why we encourage interoffice, intradepartmental relationships.
It starts when you’re a summer associate — at FoleyFest, our weekend bash that brings summer associates from every office together to form ties with future colleagues through a variety of training and social events.
Soon after joining the firm as an associate, you’ll attend a firmwide orientation program that will bring you together with Foley “classmates” and give you a feel for the entire firm and the scope of our national practice.
Peer support is an important part of having a life outside of the office. We encourage you to find the right balance between your work and your personal life, and offer training in financial planning, stress management, and other survival skills as part of our overall training program.
