Q. Can I send a resume even if I don't see an opening that fits my background?
A. Foley & Lardner LLP only accepts resumes for current career opportunities. If you don't see something in your field today, check back periodically.
Q. Do I need to send my resume for each job opening, or will you use my resume for more than one job opening?
A. Candidates must submit a resume for each position in which they are interested.
Q. Does Foley provide relocation assistance if I don't live in the same city as the position I am applying for?
A. Consideration for relocation assistance is made on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the position and the availability of candidates in the labor market in which the position is located.
Q. How can I find out more about the benefits offered by your firm?
A. We have provided a general overview of our benefits package. More detailed information is provided to final candidates prior to or with an offer of employment.
Q. How long does it take to fill a position?
A. Depending on the nature and urgency of the position, it may take two or more weeks for the selection process to begin once the position is advertised. After this, it may be several weeks until a final decision is made.
Q. If I see a career opportunity that my friend may qualify for, how can I let him or her know?
A. You can forward the description of the career opportunity to your friend by clicking "Email" on the page that provides the job description.
Q. What is the firm’s policy on casual dress?
A. Each of our offices is business casual during the week — some even permit jeans on Fridays. Attorneys are expected to wear more formal attire when dictated by the situation such as court appearances and client meetings.
Q. When will I hear something about the position I have applied for?
A. We will only contact those candidates who best meet the requirements of the position to offer the opportunity to interview for the position. We may respond back to all candidates once a final decision has been made.
Q. Who can I contact for more information regarding a career opportunity?
A. You may send an e-mail to the Human Resources representative from the page that displays the description of the position in which you are interested.

Q. What is the dress code at Foley?
A. Our firm maintains a professional image with regards to dress, with some flexibility. Expectations regarding dress vary slightly in each of our offices. If you are selected for a position with our firm, information regarding specific requirements pertaining to dress will be provided in an orientation session.
