Mentoring

For partner Nancy Geenen, being influential at Foley comes naturally

Nancy Geenen is a natural mentor. She says of herself, “Throughout my adult life, I’ve coached and taught in various areas. I’ve had great mentors all my life.”

As an associate at Foley, you will be assigned a mentor to provide practical guidance and help ensure a balance of assignments, training, and lawyer contact.

Beyond serving as a friendly, senior advisor, your associate mentor is asked to commit to the following specific responsibilities: work review; training; performance evaluations, client development; and a continuing involvement throughout your career.

You also will work with a partner mentor to monitor and advance your professional and practice development.

In addition to the formal mentoring program, our highly specialized practice group organization ensures you’ll work closely with partners and associates who share your professional focus.

We do all this because we want you to do well here — and we want you here for the long run. When we hire associates like you, we hope we are hiring our future partners.
